The biggest day of the school year is almost here! We are counting down the days to have our hallways and classrooms filled with little voices, laughter, and learning again! Your custodians, teachers, and staff are putting the finishing touches on HES right now! See you all soon!

What’s Happening at HES…

NOW-Homeroom lists (K-3) and schedules (4-5) are available now at HES.

August 6th-PK/K Kick Off will be held from 5:30-6:30 at HES for all incoming preschool students and kindergarteners. We will have activities and supervision for your preschoolers and kindergarteners in the gym. Please sign them in there prior to attending your parent meeting. PK parents will meet in the library at 5:30. Kindergarten parents will meet in the gym at 5:30. Following the parent meetings, you and your child will have an opportunity to visit his/her classroom. This is also a great time to bring supplies and deposit money in lunch accounts.

August 7th-HES Meet and Greet (Grades 1-5) will be from noon until 3:00 on August 7th. This will be an opportunity for you and your children to bring in supplies, meet your teacher, see your classroom, deposit money in lunch accounts, and more. There’s no rushing around to be at parent meetings at specific times. Just drop by when you can. We can’t wait to see you!

August 8th- 9th-Kindergarten Phase-In- Only kindergarten girls will come to school on August 8th. Only kindergarten boys will come to school on August 9th. Kindergarten parents may walk their kindergarteners to class during phase-in. All kindergartens will begin coming daily on August 10th. kindergarteners must be dropped off in the car line beginning on August 10th.

Morning Drop Off- Kindergarten parents may walk their kindergarteners to their classrooms during phase-in. All car riders in grades 1 through 5 should be dropped off in the car line beginning the first day of school. Staff will be stationed to assist students to class. Your cooperation and understanding of this safety measure are greatly appreciated.
