Haleyville Middle School will host its 1st Parent University on September 14th, 2017. Although the middle school is hosting this event, all HCS parents are welcome to attend. The event will begin at 6:30 and will last approximately an hour. Child care will be provided for parents who have young children or have need supervise of their students that evening in order to attend. This is a program we are offering at no cost to parents and one which allows us to discuss issues that students face daily.

Speakers and Topics:

Judge Mike Newell will be discussing about cellphone use, such as texting and social media, and the law.

Jonathan Winters, an ABI Captain, will be discussing drug and alcohol use and the way drugs are being distributed. (Candy, etc.)

Cindy Chadwick will be discussing her job and her role at HMS. She will also be talking about the big issues students approach her about.
