We are really excited to get school started this school year. Our custodians have been working hard getting our school cleaned and the floors waxed, teachers are working in rooms and our CNP just participated in a cooking class with the executive chef from Alabaster City Schools. It is an exciting time of the year!

#BEGREAT is our school statement this year. We want all of our students to do their very best at everything. #BEGREAT is a program that will allow us to celebrate our great students.

Our first day at school is going to be a fun day. We are going to have competitions on Thursday afternoon starting at 2:30 between each grade. The winning grade will get an 15 minute break the next Monday.

Our teachers have been working hard this summer. They have been at school working in their classroom. We have had some teachers attend AMSTI training this summer. AMSTI is an organization that helps our math and science teachers by giving them materials to teach with and AMSTI gives our teachers new ideas and teaching strategies.

Our football team, volleyball team, our basketball teams and cheerleaders have been ion camps and practicing almost daily this summer. We are really excited for our football and volleyball seasons to start.

As you can see it's been a very busy summer, but it's winding down. Kids report back August 10. See you soon.
