It is going to be an awesome year at Haleyville City Schools! Words cannot express how blessed I feel to lead such an amazing school district, and I am honored to be a part of one of the best administrative teams around. Our focus at all schools will be to motivate, educate and inspire all students to achieve excellence (HCS Vision, Mission and Beliefs outlined below). We love our motto for this school year: Serve with Pride, Lead with Confidence and Inspire to Impact Others. You will see all schools use the #ServeLeadInspire or #HCSSLI hash tag on social media This motto will also be posted around each school and is being used as the theme of our faculty/staff shirts. We do not want this motto to be just a hash tag, we want to live it daily. We believe in servant leadership, and we know that we can work daily to inspire others around us.

The goal of this blog will be to share the story of Haleyville City Schools. I believe in sharing as much information as we can with our teachers/staff, parents and community in order to gain your trust as one of the leaders in our school system. I want to be a transparent leader who seeks input from all stakeholders as often as possible. I also believe in sharing the great things that are going on in our classrooms and will use this platform to highlight teachers and best practices frequently. I hope that you will continue to support Haleyville City Schools and you will follow this blog to see first hand the awesome things that are happening in our schools!
